Following the successful completion of Phase 1, Vision for a Nation Foundation is seeking to raise an initial £1.2million to expand its program across Rwanda during Phase 2, which will cover an estimated 425,000 people

In order to scale-up the program nationally so that all Rwandans aged 8 years and above can be offered a vision assessment by 2015, Vision for a Nation Foundation will need further funds, which will be used to cover the costs of eyeglasses, training, logistics, public education and research.

On its completion in 2015, Vision for a Nation will have trained over 1,600 nurses, 29,000 CHWs and 10,000 teachers country-wide to identify and assist individuals who need vision correction and other eyecare services, thereby making a positive and lasting impact to the health and eye care infrastructure in Rwanda.
